Databases! Oh, where do we even start? We've used or relied on database technology to power the GMS website, store or serve data for economic and financial models, or query asset equipment health info in the electric utilities sector. In most respects, databases form the critical substructure of our modern digital age.
- Example Projects #1: GMS designed database-driven prioritization models for regional operating companies to compare the net present values of large-scale capital and O&M infrastructure spending projects.
- Example Projects #2: We made cost-benefit formulas and sensitivity decision tools for a vertically integrated company to asses data subsystem, telecom, and IT budgetary calendars stored in Oracle databases.
- Example Projects #3: GMS has reviewed the performance and reliability of transmission and distribution systems and devised yearly electric consumption forecasts using utility performance metrics or data.
- Example Projects #4: We've built database reporting tools, data-serving apps for staff, data and content management software, and data-reading software solutions for Microsoft Windows as well as Mac OS.
