GMS assists stakeholders in the electric sector to assess markets, adapt to new technologies, and prepare long-term roadmaps. We also take a hands-on approach to assess risk and reliability, focusing on actions and impacts to justify capital and O&M spending alternatives.
- Example Projects #1: One of our principals was responsible for leading a group that assisted with the introduction of new electric rate structures in Peru following the privatization of utilities. The analysis pertained to the development of electric costs based on an idealized model of its power delivery network.
- Example Projects #2: We're supporting a year-long consulting initiative to evaluate and establish retail wheeling tariffs and rates in compliance with a regulator order for the Puerto Rico System Operator (LUMA).
- Example Projects #3: We've also offered regulatory assistance on the divestiture of power generation and delivery assets.
